The Regent Petite Palace Hotel is housed in a building which dates back more than 300 years and was once an ice factory. It has been comprehensively renovated but retains many of its original features. The spacious lobby features a marble floor, a glass reception desk, potted palms, modern lamps and sofas. Varying in size, due to the age of the buildings, the 72 guestrooms are appointed in a modern style, with designer furnishings and paintings by establish local artists (though some still have wooden beams.) All are clean and well maintained, as are the en suite bathrooms with tub/shower combinations. Under the supervision of chef Cédric Kallenbach, the “Le Pont Tournant” restaurant serves both international and regional cuisine. Weather permitting, there is the possibility to eat on the outside terrace by the canalside.
